A fable retold

My mother reminded me of an ancient story today. A mouse was unhappy with itself so it requested a sage to turn it into a mountain/ bigger animal and even a human. Each time it turned into something  it ended being unhappy. It realised that it was happiest being a mouse.
I have heard this story in my childhood. It struck me how deep the wisdom is.
Be happy with who you are.
Be aware of yourself..
Each one is unique. Let us not compare ourselves with anyone…..
