to do what is right... martn Luther King jr. I experienced a momentous piece of history yesterday. I was there at the welcome ceremony of Martin Luther king jr's in Chennai. It was a great moment to see the son of such an illustrious man. The man who said,'I have a dream..' in 1963 and today his nation salutes him. So do we but have we achieved the dream...?

An old adage but most suitable for me. learning....

some will build walls while some windmills!!!

to be misunderstood and difficult to be understood!!! That's COMMUNICATION!

get paid for the hour but for the value you contribute to the hour!

To experience resuurection you have to undergo crucifixion!!

are so painful! Today one more batch was given farewell at school. It's feeling of pride to send out these young men to the outer  world and at the same time that the babies have grown, do not need us anymore!!

when in excess becomes PAIN!

one's cupboard or any stuff is mood-lifting!!!

Such a lovely day to express one's love!!  There may be some people who say we do not need such days. But in this fast mechanical world when one has no time to even look into the mirror, such days are welcome!!!

Clothes make a world of difference to one's personality and self-esteem. When you feel low or depressed, dress up to the hilt. WOW! see the difference!

may be easy but staying successful is not!!!

Slow, slow, slow!!  My tryst with anger today has taught me this precious learning, to take things slow!!!

'No person who is determined to make the most of himself can spare time for personal battles!'

In anger I forgot whom I was talking to! I lost my control!! I learnt then that I ought to learn to keep anger in check or it could destroy me.

I know people carry tales but carrying tales about trivial matters and twisting them out of proportion requires one to be thick-skinned How do we classify such persons?  On second thoughts why shoud I think I am to be spared? Ha ha! As long as I can answer my conscience, I do not need to look further!!

On saturday one of my students lost his father. Without a second thought I had made up my mind to go over to his house. I was very surprised and amazed that none of my colleagues had volunteered to come with me. I wondered why people hesitate to reach out. Is it that they do not want to face death?  I shrugged away the thoughts and went over to his house. As I wiped his tears and hugged his mother I knew I had done the right thing and will continue doing so..I shall not wait for anyone. I need not!

desires bring weak results.

communicate!!  I was going through a phase of 'doubt'. It was eating me up when I said to myself,'hey wake up, why wallow in self-pity? Talk it out' I did exactly that. Just talked and voila! Like the clouds moving away to display the hidden sun, my mind was lifted off its doubts and I was back on my feet dancing, skipping away in joy!

Once in a while, loosen up! Don't take yourself so seriously always! No one's perfect!

'Whenever there is a hard job to be done, I assign it to a lazy man; he is sure to find an easy way of doing it.'

Today its been an amazing day. I was felicitated at school in front of my dear students and friendsfor having received the State award in the BROAD OUTLOOK LEARNER TEACHER  category. It was a great honour to receive the award from my mentor, the Principal of my school.
