By the Kaveri

As I cruised along the Kaveri
I stopped at a village.
Time stood still
Huts stood in slilent mutiny
Goats strolled languidly
Men played cards,
Women toiled hard
Children playing with rubber tyres
The sentinels stood tall and proud
Horses and elephants
With their sculpted trainers
Looking nonchalantly
At the foolish humans
Bickering and showing their might
Litttle knowing that they were
Mere specks in this Universe!!!!!
